National Book Awards 2026 - Young People's Literature

Young readers are the audience for the 2026 National Book Award for Young People’s Literature. Publishers submitted 290 books, and these five are the finalists. Rank them by the book you most want to win, and leave aside what you think the judges will pick. The National Book Foundation announced the finalists on 6 October 2026. The winner is announced on Wednesday 18 November 2026 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, at the 77th National Book Awards ceremony at Cipriani Wall Street in New York.
