Switzerland 2026 - No to 10 Million Initiative

Federal popular vote on 14 June 2026 on the Sustainability Initiative, which would cap Switzerland's permanent resident population at 10 million before 2050. If the population exceeded 9.5 million, the government would be required to take restrictive measures; exceeding 10 million could ultimately require terminating the EU free movement agreement.
